Furget-Me-Not
The Furget-Me-Not campaign is aimed at stopping the illegal killing of otters for the fur trade.
The first area that we are concentrating on is Cambodia, where Asian Small-Clawed Otters, Smooth Coated Otters and the very rare Hairy-Nosed Otter are being killed illegally for pelts, which are sold on to China.
The trappers are normally fishermen for whom the money for the skins plays an important part in keeping their families alive, so the campaign aims to find a way to reconcile the survival of both otters and people.
We are delighted that HRH Princess Michael of Kent has agreed to be Patron of furget-me-not.
